Terms and Conditions

This agreement defines how and where you may promote the BACKPACKING LIGHT (d/b/a Backpackinglight.com) affiliate program:

CHANNELS

For the purpose of this agreement, authorized Channels include:

* WEB: Your owned website(s).
* EMAIL: Your owned email newsletter broadcast (marketing) list.
* SOCIAL: Your social media channels, including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, and other social platforms where you DO NOT own the platform but have an account there.
* PODCAST: Your video or audio channels (this channel does NOT include written descriptions associated with, only spoken content on these channels), e.g., podcasts, YouTube videos, etc.
* OFFLINE: Your offline channels (in-person clinics, seminars, courses, presentations, etc.) (this channel does NOT include online recordings of these events)
* PAID ADS: Paid ads where you are acting as the advertiser on any media property that you do not own (e.g., Facebook, Google Search, etc.).

1. You may promote and share affiliate links (subject to the exceptions that follow) in any and all of your channels EXCEPT your PAID ADS channels, i.e., you may not promote and share affiliate links or coupon codes of any type in any PAID ADS channel.

2. You will be assigned a coupon code that you may use in perpetuity that provides a 10% discount on any and all Backpackinglight.com products, including memberships, online courses, and live event or guided trek enrollments. You may promote and publish this coupon code on WEB, EMAIL, PODCAST, SOCIAL, and OFFLINE channels.

3. From time to time, we may offer (or you may request) a coupon code for a specific product and promotion of 30% off a particular product that you are promoting as part of a special promotion, event, or other circumstance. These codes are generally valid for up to 30 days and may only be used in EMAIL, PODCAST and OFFLINE channels. They may not be posted on WEB or SOCIAL CHANNELS. Exceptions to this may or may not be stated in these specific affiliate program promotion terms from Backpacking Light. The purpose of this policy is to prevent any affiliate from having unfair advantage over other members of our affiliate program.
